This Greystanes Landscape Project involved a complete landscape package for a newly completed home. The client wanted a simple yet attractive street presence with minimal maintenance. For their backyard, they wanted loads of maintenance free entertaining space.
FRONT YARD
The works involved providing a large driveway to provide off street parking for multiple cars. This driveway is a concrete driveway using charcoal coloured concrete and finished with a coved trowel finish.
Our clients also wanted some low maintenance gardens and turf which gave colour, street appeal and screening from neighbours. Planting a Camellia side border hedge will give them height to screen off neighbours. It also gives splashes of colour with the bright pinky red flowers. To provide some contrast we planted a society garlic border. Its light blue green foliage and purple flowers achieved this perfectly. To give the front boundary of the home some street appeal, we planted Japanese box with a contrasting dwarf purple fountain grass. This scheme gives them a formal look with minimal maintenance.
The front yard was finished with laying Matilda Buffalo turf. Matilda turf is a strong and hearty variety, that handles shade, full sun and drought conditions.
BACK YARD
The clients wanted a complete low maintenance back yard. Their brief was no lawn but bucket loads of entertaining space for their large extended family.
We gave them a composite decking entertaining area surrounding their alfresco. We built in a bench seat area that would be used as a fire pit area. Perfect for friends and family to sit intimately and enjoy the outdoor area. This was then connected to a small deck straight out of the master bedroom. It allows our clients to enjoy a morning coffee and the outdoors.
To finish off this large entertaining space, fence extensions were installed for privacy. Adding green along the boundary was done by planting vibernum. It will provide a hedge and a touch of green screening.
